My missus also has a default off of these cowboys for a delivery that we never had. They have never supplied any proof of delivery or anything.

If she was to pay the amount off (£103), would the default be completely wiped from her file?

Why would you pay back a debt that is not yours ?

If this company are recording incorrect information on your wife's credit file, you complain to the information commissioners office about it, and get them to remove the incorrect information.

Why would you even consider paying for something you never received.

  • She is at her wits end after having numerous Debt Collection letters over this amount. She told them she was paying nothing as she's never received anything, they've promised numerous times to look into it, and when she rings back they know nothing about it.

Ok, if they have charged you for goods you have not received, your attack needs to be two pronged.

Write a letter to the company concerned, headed :

    "OFFICIAL COMPLAINT"

This will see it gets to the right dept, state your reasons, no goods received etc, ask where the goods were delivered, were they signed for, if so who by, say you will report to trading standards.
Also get some advice on this, just done a quick search, nothing jumps out at me, I would suggest contacting trading standards about this, see what they say, also make a complaint to the ICO about the credit reporting issue.
