19" Digimate L1918 TFT Monitor with DVI input £189.99+postage

http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/acatalog/monitors.html#a3423

The Superb Digimate L-1918D TFT with a DVI input in addition to the DSUB. When coupled with a DVI equipped graphics card, this monitor will give you the clearest possible picture.

The signal your television receives with an antenna is analog. Sometimes the picture is fuzzy, sometimes it comes in perfectly clear, and sometimes it fades in and out. With a digital signal, the signal is either on or off, so "fuzziness" is not possible. That is not to say that an analog signal always looks fuzzy. A high quality analog signal also produces beautiful, clear images. The signals are just not quite as consistent as digital.

DVI (Digital Video Interface) is capable of processing large amounts of data at high speed, which is one reason for its success. High-bandwidth content like HDTV, and high-resolution display devices are becoming more popular and have outgrown current technology. DVI is a relatively new standard, but is quickly being adopted by computer and select television manufacturers. Many expect that DVI will replace VGA as the most common connection for computers to displays.

In addition to being used as the new computer interface, DVI is also coming out as the digital transfer method of choice for HDTV, EDTV, Plasma Display, and other ultra-high-end video displays for TV, movies, and DVDs. Likewise, even a few of the top-end DVD players are now featuring DVI outputs in addition to the high-quality analog Component Video.

That's not the exact same TFT mentioned in the inital post - though its identical specs for all purposes - but it doesnt look the same.

    Better price though!

Without looking at the specs, the Arianet monitors *are* digimate - I have both an arianet and a digimate sat alongside each other and they are identical - only difference I noticed was the colour of the box they came in (one was blue, the other purple).

Of course, refresh rates might be different or something like that, but I suspect they are pretty much the same

The specs are pretty much identical - but the design of the monitors, from the pictures at least, are different.

Sorry, my mistake - I was looking at the 1916 (the one above it), which is the one I have and is identical to the Arianet

    You are just about forgiven!

Interesting thing is the new base level of prices for 19inch DVI TFT is coming down even more.....

    Hope it continues!

I just wish the price of the 24" TFTs would drop enough to let me buy 2 without needing to remortgage :rotfl:
