opinions please. 4 weeks ago I found £100 in an ATM machine directly outside a Tesco. I waited 15 mins then had to get back to work so I handed it in at the customer service in Tesco. they gave me a receipt and advised me to call in, saying that after 28 days and if it remained unclaimed then I could claim it.
I was really hopeful that this would be claimed by rightful owner as it is such a large sum of money to lose.
anyway after calling in frequently time passed. on Wednesday I called in to Tesco and asked had it been claimed. no. can I claim it? no. why? cos 28 days is not 4 weeks or a calendar month (same customer service person who advised me to claim!) anyway its not February, if it was I could claim she said. after lengthy discussion she checked with "upstairs", no I could not claim until 6 weeks. I left.
( in addition the security guard told me to be very careful as atm as camera and I maybe accused of stealing.)

role on to today. thought customer service did not know what she was talking about so went back in. only to be advised it is now 3 months wait. I told them to make there minds up 28 days, one month, 6 weeks,. now 3 months. here is the cruncher. AFTER 3 MONTHS IF NOT CLAIMED THEY DONATE IT TO THERE CHARITY OF CHOICE!

I have rang head office (useless) he said it is 6 weeks but it is up to store if they give it to me or donate to charity.

my plan is to wait 6 weeks and try again. what do you think, advise

Typical T making crap up as they go along. You could go in and say "I was using the ATM outside to take out some cash on [such-and-such-a-day] and I took out £100 but think I left it in the machine; has someone handed it in?" and see what they say

Cash is tricky and if that were my money, I'd either try and find it on that day or assumed it gone forever. Certainly wouldn't wait a month to ask if it had been handed in

I just had a thought that my Scottish National Trust card probably would have become invalid in England if the yes voters had won so to everyone who voted no, Thank you very much :T

Why would have that have been the case? (Or vice versa - i.e. National Trust card use in Scotland.) They are 'private' organisations and nothing to do with government.

Just to let everyone know:rotfl:, the 'geeky' trainspottery subject of constitutional arrangements and "the West Lothian question", and similar matters, is now back as one of my specialist subject areas again:eek::rotfl::rotfl:. I've been refraining from posting on here anything about the referendum, its result or politics, or posting more essays, as I'm feeling a money-saving website isn't the place. Besides, my views on how things are and/or how things might now proceed (or not - maybe get caught up in a logjam of Labour party objections - oops, there I go into politics:eek:) - my views are highly intricate and extremely complex and would probably take two hours (as long as that!:rotfl:) to sit down and explain to everyone face-to-face in detail. I don't propose to do!

I did post something in the early hours of results day, but then deleted it within a few minutes as I felt it wasn't appropriate to a money-saving site.

However, as you've raised the issue, I know someone the other night was referring to a YT video (Youtube;)) which they said was 'funny'. I suppose so, I didn't laugh at it as wasn't caused, or forced, to laugh - sometimes things are so funny that they cause you to laugh, uncontrollably, but sometimes, whilst something is 'funny', and may cause you to laugh on some occasions doesn't always do so on every occasion of watching. It's very subjective and related to your precise emotions at the time. Interesting (or not:rotfl:). Perhaps I'm being a bit too 'heavy' for a Saturday night:think:.

Somewhat bizarrely (perhaps, or not), I am finding this video - more so the near very end of it - very funny at the moment:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56bBuPCw4sU

What's amusing me is the way she just says "Thank you" and then immediately moves to disappear off the stage.:rotfl::rotfl:
    Thank you... and goodbye immediately!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

So, for me, that is a funny video at the moment, even though it wasn't at the time when I was watching it live (on BBC ONE Scotland online btw - yes, like an anorak, I had both BBC ONE programmes on:rotfl: - I wish they'd had just one in fact rather than leaving me unable to decide which one I wanted:rotfl:).

Here she is again - she went around the world:

I have my own light-hearted ways of looking at the result (lies and statistics...) if anyone is really interested!:rotfl::)

Oh dear. I haven't even received any vouchers so maybe they have stopped posting them out?

Does it specify the shop on the voucher or could you take it elsewhere?

It specifies the shop. You had to choose when requesting the voucher. There were only two anywhere near me - looks like I chose the wrong one :o

I know I am far away but I think this whole vote has got out of hand..... we are in the modern ages and if the Royal and Ancient golf club has voted to allow women to have membership after 260 years, lets just accept it and move on..... no need for rioting!:cool:
