You can do it from anywhere. Hopefully (unlike my lot) he will know his log in detailsThe email he used will be on the account section on the Xbox, if he has forgotten the password you can get a reset by text or email if I remember rightly.

Quick question please.
Eldest son has an x box account - how do you go about closing it and stopping payments?
He says he thinks its auto renewal - I know payments go out each month.
Also he says he knows how to turn it off ???
I have done it from the pc before - as long as he knows his sign in he should be able to do it from here https://login.live.com/login.srf?wa=wsignin1.0&rpsnv=12&ct=1411121867&rver=6.4.6456.0&wp=MBI_SSL&wreply=https:%2F%2Flive.xbox.com:443%2Fxweb%2Flive%2Fpassport%2FsetCookies.ashx%3Frru%3Dhttps%253a%252f%252flive.xbox.com%252fen-GB%252fAccount%252fSignin&lc=2057&id=66262&cbcxt=0 Hoping that's not a personal link
Edit: If you sign in and go to support on the menu, billing and my account are under it. hth

Thanks for posting about those 25p nutty bar thingies, bought quite a few yesterday and they're lush. They're quite a lot like the 'eat natural' bars, which are currently 85p in T!Final cigarette smoked 02/01/18

thanks for this, I will see what he says.
I've checked and he paid one payment of £39.99 in November 2013 - not sure what that was about as he was out of the country at the time.
Then he has been paying £5.99 a month since May - I think that must be when he got the shiny new version
(- goodness knows why as he was away or on holiday and only home for odd days over the summer. And then he took it back with him knowing he is going somewhere with no wi fi ...)
anyway after you have doen the changes do you get an email from x box live as confirmation of any changes?“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
