I suppose it's understandable that he's clingy to you SD. Must be difficult for you though.
DS2 never goes out either. He has no interest in spending time with anyone else. He's not clingy though.....quite the opposite. I can go hours and hours without seeing him unless he passes me on the way to the trampoline. It used to bother me a lot, then I realised he's just happy with his own company. I was pushing him to be a bit more sociable when actually he's not happy doing that.
Has he not got any interests that he could maybe join clubs etc for?

DS seems to be the same at the minute, sometimes he's happy in his own company but likes to know I'm nearby. He's always on his iPad, watching minecraft videos on YouTube or playing it. He sits beside me with his headphones on in his own wee world but if I move they're off his ear and he asks where I'm going.
Where we used to live our house was the one to be at because they could do anything (within reason), kids coming and going, playing games, playing on the ps3, on the trampoline and baking. DS loved it because he decided what they done, now it's so different, he's lost his confidence and does very minimal with other kids.
I've encouraged him to be part of the newspaper in school and he loves it, considering he struggles with English! He loved taking photos and playing about with his bridge camera but even that has went to the wayside :(
I too push him to be more sociable by making him go to a youth group, most of whom are great because there are kids there with they're own challenges but there are a few who suffer from ADHD and DS just clashes with them from time to time because they can sometimes be in his face so they are told by the other teenagers to calm down and leave DS alone. I think it's great for them that they understand each other and know when to step in to try and calm the situation before it escalates.

    Confession

I have about 25 rolls of Laura Ashley Fabric in my attic :o

and an equal amount in storage boxes

We used to be able to buy it at silly silly prices from the Staff shop .....

all for the one day I will make new sofa covers, curtains, bedding,

but then they started having curtain sales & I then amassed lots & lots of pairs of huge beautiful curtains, again stashed in attic

All will be revealed when we move
Sure you won't just draw the curtains? :p

    Ooooh never had lentil chips.

    Sound scrummy. :T

If you see them, the Cofresh Sour Cream & Chives flavour lentil chips are lovely! They are lighter than the houmous chips. :j

My head's a bit mashed with all these thoughts of dogs dying a slow painful death :(

I see that some of the people who thanked my original post have in other posts clearly expressed a different opinion. I'm curious why people would thank a post if they don't agree with what's said in the post

I might thank a post even if the person has a totally different opinion to me as I accept we are all different and have different priorities.
I don't press thanks on a post that I think is offensive or a blatant wind up! ;)
Some posts I don't thank because I haven't had time to catch up. :o

Think this whole fire business has hit hard at the animal lover inside of us. Personally I am using the distraction technique. Just can't bear to think about it:o

I'm trying not to think about it, and am trying to focus on the positive actions being taken by lovely people now. x
