My nephew is getting married soon and he and his fiance have sent out two wedding lists, one for argos and one for debenhams.Plenty to choose from in both and a variety of prices.I had chosen a pan set and was about to order online when I checked the back of the wedding list card from debenhams. It says they will charge £3.50 per order for handling, storage and delivery charge but I know that all the gifts will be delivered together at a preset date before the wedding.Am I right that debenhams will get £3.50 from every single guest who buys a gift from them? That will be a tidy profit for them.If so I will be sending a cheque to cover the cost of the pan set to the happy couple and bypassing the greedy debenhams

Yes, Debenhams will charge each order from the list. This is to cover the £50 gift card they give the list-holder when it's opened. Debenhams also have a poor service reputation.
That's why we went with John Lewis.0

If you can see what items are on the list, can't you just buy the pans in store and give them to the couple in person? Of course, there would be the risk that someone else would also buy them because you won't be going via the list, but I reckon you can never have too many pans!0
