"cashback"

hope this is the right board for this question ?

did a quote for car insurance two days ago = 586 looked on topcashback cash back of 77 so joined top cash back did the quote again with a different email address so that it would track and the quote is 100 more despite no details changing. is this how cash back works then an inflated price pays for the so called cash back ?

    Possibly, I found this too when searching for car insurance so I went without the so-called cash back and went direct! Cashback is only worth it if you get it cheaper. It obviously works for some things and not others!
