Deoderant for sensitive skin

Hello
For years and years I've been using Dove (stick) deoderant which has been fab. However I have noticed that I've often had spots that get swollen and eventually burst (sorry!) and I've since worked out that the deoderant is the cause! - I've also since heard that Dove has reacted with other people too

Can any recommend a good deoderant for sensitive skin, I prefer a stick as aerosoles often trigger my asthma and don't last as long!

Any advice would be great

Thanks!

Have you tried Sanex- I have been using the roll on for years with no problems.

I used to use the Dove solid too but found it irritating after a while. I find that Sure Cotton Fresh solid is OK, worth a try.

I think sometimes that alternating different brands is helpful to avoid build up of irritation.

I'm also OK with Mitchum roll on Powder Fresh, the liquid one not the solid one. I find the solid Mitchum itchy and annoying though. You'd think that Mitchum would have more powerful chemicals so be more likely to cause sensitivity but so far I've not had any problems with it.

I like the Right Guard Total Defence 5 Unscented deodorant, its not a stick one, its the spray, you may be able to get it in the stick form.

Another vote for sure. Tried others that are meant to be for sensitive skins, but this works best for me.

  • I use the Garner mineral roll ons. Anything too harsh causes irritation on my skin. I've had no problems with any of the Garner ones

After years of trying different deodorants I've found that nothing works as well as bicarb! It doesn't stop you sweating, but there's no odour.

Not for people who prefer an anti-perspirant, perhaps, but it's a money-saving and natural product

I use a natural crystal or rock ( mineral salt) deodorant. Lasts for absolutely ages (some claim to last up to a year).

You wet it and apply but I usually just pop it on as soon as I emerge from the shower or bath and then dry the stick on the towel (doesn't leave a residue).

They tend to have no perfumes, additives, alcohol, animal products or the like. The manufacturers claim that they don't tend to clog up the pores.

If you are used to thick, sticky, perfumed deoderants, you will perhaps find this type of deoderant quite a change, as it is a much lighter product, no kind of residue, texture or perfume, and perhaps allows a bit more sweat (fresh sweat never smells...).

Have a look into their composition, reviews and how they work.

I don't think it offers as 'strong' or long lasting protection as other types of deoderants that block up the pores and are scented but I am happy with them and will never go back to other types of deoderant. I think I have a travel sized stick that has lasted me 6 months and has a lot left to go which cost me about £4 whereas roll-ons only tended to last a month or so.
  • I actually don't use any under arm deodorants, anti-antiperspirants now. I had tried numerous ones and all didn't agree with my skin. Been a lot of years since I used these products and I don't miss them.

I use Mum unperfumed roll-on for sensitive skin one, and have never had any problems with it - and I react to most products. It lasts for ages as well. It's also pretty cheap for a bottle (usually about £1 ish).
