Thanks for clearing that up, I really want to walk out of barclays with a mortgage (virtually), so I'm trying to cover all bases.
Currently I'm not paying council tax, how can I prove what I will need to pay for the affordability calculation?

Phone the local authority and ask them the annual council tax for the property you are buying?

I know what it is, but want proof. There is a grid on the local council website of the bands and prices. I might take that.

Plus something which says which band the house is in e.g. screenshot of the VOA website, or the house advert.

I'd be very surprised if any lender requires proof of what the council tax will be on a property you have not yet purchased.
