My first time doing this. Today I will spend £1.60, on 2 bags of crisps and a bottle of drink (I have run out of spare bottles to fill up at home, my husbands fault as he takes them to work and never brings them back) for tomorrows school outing with my daughter.0

Hello Everyone,
I've been (somewhat obsessively) reading various threads on the DFW forum over the past few months and have decided now's a good time to say hi! This site has been so helpful to me, i've started to take control of our debts (in a slightly dictator-way according to hubbie!) and have really appreciated all the tips and ideas here.
So firstly - huge thanks to you knowledge-able peeps!
Secondly - i've been so good this month with my lunch spending and so am allowing myself a bit of a treat today. Spent 1.15 GBP on brekkie and am off to buy a sarnie now so I should keep the spending below 4 quid for the day, which isn't bad as my daily lunch allowance is 2.30 ;-)
Cheers,

...the terror of the dentist struck this morning at a cost of 46 quid... and cos I'm so miffed i've bought lunch (cob, coke, crisps) and even a choc bar for later. Not to mention a (pointless) magazine and a 20 pound top up for my phone.
Arghhhh... Think it's one of those weeks.
Must get back on the wagon.
If you have the choc bar WITH the lunch rather than later - there will be less £46's at the dentist'sHow to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
Hi again PaP - I'm back from town, and can post my spends:
Parking - 40 pence (Not free at ASDA - Free at Tesco, but my wife prefers ASDA
)
Cappucino, with extra shot of espresso, at the ONLY real Italian Coffee shop in town. - £1.60 (don't let anyone tell you that COSTA coffee is anything like the real thing)
Lunch (I ought to be ashamed, but I'm not:D ) - one 'slab' of home-made bread pudding, from the only independent baker in town. Beautiful :j :j - 48 pence.
One lucky dip for tonight - £1.00 (first in weeks  )
Total spend - £3.48
So why have I only got 90 pence left from my fiver?
