Competitions for children

My 12 year old granddaughter asked me if I know any competitions which her age group could enter. I know you have to be 18 (or over) to enter most comps.
Does Shout Magazine cover her age group?
Also, if anyone else can think of any it would be great. It looks like we have a budding comper in the family.

A few that come to mind can be found via searching MSE Comps with such as :

Will find the comps and send links to granddaughter.
Much appreciated.0 -
My DD won a great prize from Girl Talk magazine, which we entered online. Another suitable site is popgirl.tv (from the same people as girltalk I think).0

Thanks cte1111 for your comments.
Am going to look up the links and email to Caira. Will definitely keep her busy0 -
My Daughter (12) does all the girltalk mag comps and funkids live, as well as the nickelodeon's and Disney channel comps.:starmod::starmod::starmod::starmod::starmod:
May good luck be your friend in whatever you do and may trouble be always a stranger to you.

Thanks for your comments funkyfreks.

Thanks so much everyone, really appreciate your help.0 -
Obviously some 'children's' comps don't have an age limit so anyone can enter, but the ones that are age limited to actual children are normally posted with (KIDS) in the title. Maybe a forum search would allow you to find those specific comps/websites.
Good luck, and remember to make her aware of safe internet practices.Thank you to everyone who posts on the competitions boards. You all rock!0 -
most of the kids magazines hold comps as do a lot of the toy stores, we enter on the scholastic site- usually book prizes as well as disney etc
most comps for kids things are opn to everyone but some will ask for parents email and details if under certain age or an adult to fill form on their behalf.
we search for kids competitions in search engine. might be an activity you do together to make sure she can fill out forms correctly and understands terms and conditions and finds some good things to enter0 -
If she likes Dr Who carpathian posts some good comps for kids.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions and comments. I hadn't realised that there were so many children's comps available.
I've sent my granddaughter all the links, and she is working her way through the competitions.
She had been becoming a little bored with the long school holidays, and she now has an extra hobby to keep her busy.
Very much appreciated.0
