Remortgaging with HSBC during notice period?

My current mortgage is with HSBC.
I am looking to move house, and will need to increase the mortgage amount a bit.
I called them some time ago, and that wasnt an issue.
Since then, I have been offered a new job, with a slightly better salary. I am now on three months gardening leave
My query is, can I progress my remortgage with HSBC while I am working out my notice or do I need to wait until I am with the new employer? Will HSBC check with my old employer?

You'll need to apply on the basis of your current employment status. Only HSBC can say whether this will be acceprable or not. Failure to disclose is treated as fraud. So not advisable to take this route.0
