HSBC Mortgage for customer with VISA

Can anyone tell me if HSBC will lend to a customer resident in the UK on a Tier 1 VISA?

You won't get an answer from any of the experienced brokers on this forum, as HSBC is a direct access lender.
I know someone who's got a mortgage on such a visa (with a EU national UK resident partner)- not sure which bank though.
Best thing to do is make an appointment with HSBC and question them on their lending criteria- sadly you won't be able to access them online.0 -
