18 bananas for £2

Went into our local Morrisons earlier today. They had bags of 9 bananas for £1.50 or 2 bags for £2.

Bought 2 bags. We've already had bananas and ice cream after lunch, that's 4 gone. Lots left.

Well that's very good, but, I get bananas from Aldi, 1k bags for 68p, some have 7 in them, but I go for the bags with 8 or 9 in them. :j

Uh, nine bananas loose normally cost about £1.08.

(Edit, well, that's at 68p per kilo prices. Just remembered they are up to 79p most places now. Still, 18 bananas at a time seems a bit of a stretch for such a trivial saving.)

Not if you are shopping in Morrisons anyway and like banana bread and smoothies. With that quantity you can afford to let them ripen and let them live to be eaten the next week.

I usually shop at our tesco express, only shop within walking distance, where bananas are 18p each, so it was a good saving for me. But I may try driving to Aldi next week. Quite a drive normally, but I'll be going somewhere near there next Monday. Wouldn't usually drive that far for my shopping though.

Nada666 where do you buy bananas at 12p each?
