Trying to get a mortgage

So after coming to look at this board I saw the post by someone who like I am is a seafarer. I have however paid tax as I am not always sent outside the UK.
My worry is about being able to get a joint mortgage with my wife. We only got back from our honeymoon on Wednesday and went into HSBC yesterday for her to change her name on her account to our married name. We then ended up getting some information given by the advisor about how much we would be looking at paying for a mortgage. We thought it was useful and we could then look at houses just before I came home on leave in about 5 months time.
Anyway we walked around the corner and my wife saw a really nice house for sale in the window of an estate agents and the house is only around the next street from us.
We are going to view the house tomorrow morning and at the moment I have around 2 weeks until I am called back to sea. I can try to request that I am sent to a ship around the UK but its not certain.
Is it going to be impossible to sort a mortgage out if I end up being sent abroad?

I would use a broker and make an appointment quickly.
He/she will ask all the right questions and get all the paperwork ready for your application.0 -
Use a broker that works remotely as we do. Geography is therefore not important to arrange the mortgage.
Two weeks will be enough to get things started.
Therefore look online for assistance.I am a Mortgage Broker
