Hi all,
Long-time lurker, first-time poster
Please would you give me any advice you have on a supplier for disposable tableware? Straight after our wedding ceremony we’re having tea and cake for everyone – probably 100-125 people. I need to buy paper plates, napkins, table cloths and cups for hot and cold drinks. Some friends are volunteering to serve the drinks (bless ‘em!), so I want to make it all as easy as possible for them. We’ll be setting it all up the day before, so all they have to do is serve and then bin it all. So, it does need to be biodegradable/recyclable to
And money saving too!
Does anyone know of any good suppliers? It would be nice to have some pretty colored or patterned things, if possible.
Thank you!
Abi

Hi,
We are getting married in 2 weeks' time and we too are using disposable plates and cutlery as we are having a BBQ and a Bring-A-Dish-Instead-Of-A-Present wedding.
It all depends on how much you are willing to spend and what you want (Duh...).
We bought 100 palm leaf plates for £35. They are compostable so we will have a separate bin for the plates. They will go straight on to our compost heap after the wedding. They may be a little more expensive but we prefer this to paper plates. And they look stunning. We go them from Little Cherry. Prompt delivery and great service. They have all kinds of palm leaf tableware.
If at all possible, I would go for compostable things as they don't even make it to landfill. You can put them on the compost heap or take them to the recycling place and put them in their garden waste bins.
We HATE the feeling of those wooden forks so we did opt for plastic cutlery but this too will be collected in a separate bin and will go straight in to the plastic recycling.
Hope this helps.0
