    Well, yeah, but i'm not overly keen on uprooting my life and starting again in Hull.
    Good point though, but applies more if you live in a high-priced part of the country. I live in Northamptonshire, which I moved to some years ago partly because of reasonable house prices, therefore less scope than if I was in Surrey perhaps.

    Yes, less scope where you are now. Just wanted to mention it in case it was a useful option without downsizing.

    I'd quite like to live on a north shore so that reflected light filled my life. Hull hadn't occurred to me, but it fits the bill.
