Just had my first Pink Parcel arrive - not sure about it to be honest. Really happy with the eye liner, but the concealer is awful. Don't think it offers great value for money for me.0

I'm tempted to sign up to a beauty box but I'm not sure if its a good idea and wondered if you guys could tell me a bit more about it and how it works?
Can I choose what's in the box? Do I have to sign up for several months or do I just buy each month?
Which is the best - I'd be looking for a box that contains a lot but at the same time I dont want things I'd never use.£16.98/£150 November save £5 per day challenge0 -

Hi Kirsteen! You can find reviews and the contents of the box online if you google e.g. "name of box" december 2014 uk. You can go back a few months to have an idea of what is inside and if it is something you like.
You can have a monthly subscription for 3, 6 or 12 months or buy a one time box. You can choose the items in your box with You beauty discovery and Love me beauty boxes. But this doesn't mean that you will always find something you like from the selection offered. If you don't want to receive a mystery box, you can always wait until others receive theirs (and see what's inside) and then decide whether you want to buy it or not. (or after you see the love me beauty/you beauty discovery options)
There is no hurry to buy the box at the beginning of the month. Unless you want to go with YBD, some of the popular items sell out very quickly.
Did you have a look at the first post where all the boxes are listed?
What do you prefer? make-up? skincare? samples to try? items you can buy afterwards?
YBD had some nice boxes and it's cheap. Glossybox has a lot of make up but this means that the value is usually good. Birchbox is a bit hit and miss in my opinion, but I have received some nice things from the boxes. Memebox has full size products in most boxes if you don't mind getting korean products that are hard/impossible to find in uk.0 -
Spoilers for January Look fantastic box are available if you google. Much better than Dec in my opinion. One of the items by itself is worth more than the box price.0

The expensive product is nice although it was already in a recent glossybox. The rest are not great for me. Especially the vitamins...!0 -

That's the site I use, good for UK boxes. HarlotBeauty.com is good for Memebox reviews plus the memebox part of makeuptalk.com is lively and includes spoilers. Both those are american so good for Memebox only.0
