  • Just a question guys, if a version for jewellery was available would this be something you'd be interested in? I don't know of any currently doing it and thought it might be a god idea. I had some questions though so thought I'd ask the experts!

    Is it a good idea?
Is anyone else doing it you know of? Any good?
Monthly/quarterly subscription vs one off purchase
    Cost per box
    Discount expected on RRP
Would you expect to know exactly what's in it in advance?

Thanks in advance and if this is not a suitable question for this thread then please let me know.

Next did one last year that included a couple of necklaces, bracelets and stud earrings. It cost £12 if I remember rightly. Was OK - nothing special though and a year on, I've not worn ANY of the items included. I won't be buying this year's one (it was a spur of the moment buy) and will probably gift most of the contents from last yr.
Guess it depends on the style of jewellery though (costume vs vintage / precious stones), design (minimal vs extravagant). I domt think people would take the chance if it was expensive and they didnt at least know what style was included....I know I wouldn't anyway (I knew roughly what was in the next box but the quality wasn't great hence never worn).

Fortune Cookie Soap (U.S. company) have a limited edition countdown to Christmas box. Contains 12 products - 7 full size products plus a t-shirt and has a NIghtmare Before Christmas theme. The box costs $69.99 to the UK including postage but you WILL be charged import duty as they ALWAYS declare the full amount so that would be at least £20 so pretty expensive.

It's on sale till midnight tonight only and you do get a $10 voucher to spend on their online store (not subscription box though and postage is expensive)

British Beauty Blogger box 4 is live on Latest in Beauty/British Beauty Blogger at 8am this morning. Looks fab & there is a pic but no description on Instagram under Jane Cunningham. I can't post the link as MSE won't let me.

For those who would like a non beauty related advent calendar Tinc have a stationery one out that includes things like pens / pencils / erasers etc.
