Gumtree surprise deal :D

Just on to brag a little, apologies in advance.

I advertised an old guinea pig hutch in the freebies section of gumtree. It is a great hutch, sturdy and a really good size - 4 foot, double level. But I removed both bottom doors and attached a run in their place. Worked really well - but I got a couple extra guinea pigs and decided to upgrade to a 5 foot double level.

As I had lost the doors to the older hutch, I couldn't really sell it - not fit for purpose with no bottom doors. But too good to take to dump.
So gave good discription on gumtree freebies section.

Nice man rang yesterday, arrived today for hutch. Took it home - and came back with a 2nd hand drinks fridge. His son told me it fits 40 cans of coke across the bottom.

So very nice man took away the hutch I didn't want, and gave me a free drinks fridge, in great condition, in return!

I wanted a video player on Freecycle and when i picked it up took gifts with me but not as good as the gifts you got.I just cant accept anything for free without giving something back as feel guilty.

I was delighted just to have the hutch picked up.

V nice man was very apologetic about a few scratches across the top of the fridge - silly, as you can hardly notice them.

Has absolutely made my day!
