Transfer Teachers' Pension to SIPP

As a deferred member of the TPS, it is possible to register on their website (teacherspensions.co.uk/public/login.aspx) and then you can log in and get a projection of what the pension is worth.
You get a number for the value at date of leaving the profession and a value with inflation increases to date.
You need to have your teachers' registration no which was issued when you qualify & go on the teaching register.
As a deferred TPS member, I also looked into the value of transfer versus keeping the index linked pension + free lump sum. Although I had rather more deferred service than in this case, you had to make very optimistic assumptions for the growth of the transfer value in order to be sure you could beat the pension and index linking available from the scheme.
Best to keep the small index linked TPS as many here suggest, and if you want / need to have more start a separate SIPP.0
