I always thought it was slightly amusing that people got paid more per day in February than in a month with 31 days, but then again that may only be me!

This is how we work, it also means if you have an unpaid day in Feb you are deducted more.....

And for staff who work shifts so can work any day of the week we use everyday so 1/12 of salary divided by 31 if August to work out a days pay.

If you are unsure just ask the payroll department how it is worked out, that's what they are there for.

EDIT: Just read it's a very small company that probably doesn't have a payroll dept.

Payments from our bank a/c at work hit the other person's a/c the same day if authorised before 3 pm, and the next day if authorised later. Very rarely it might be a day longer than that.
