Valuation Delay

Hello!
I am currently awaiting valuation on the property I am trying to buy. After chasing for a few weeks I have now been told that due to surveyor annual leave at Colley's (Halifax surveyors) it has now been forwarded to Legal and General. Does anyone have any idea how long they'll take to do the valuation.
It's so disappointing as the valuation I had on a property earlier in the year took place within days! This has been going on for almost a month, and everything else is pretty much ready to go.
Thanks

Where is the property, and are you after a basic valuation or homebuyers?I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. It's the Survey and valuation but not the building survey. And it's in East London.
I know that it's been the summer so people have been on holiday, but I just wondered if anyone had any experience with L&G?0 -
The issue I have had, is that whilst basic valuations even in London can still be done quickly, once you step up to the next level, they are taking 3-4 weeks to get done, although in your case there sounds like there are other issues, you need to raise this with your broker, who should be able to get this escalated.I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. It already has been escalated, hence it being moved to a different surveyor.0

Problem solved. Escalating and having moved to Legal and General has resulted in it being booked in for next week. Yay!0

We were quoted 3 weeks last year - if this happens always ask for it to be panelled out to a different surveyor.0
