halifax mortgage offer!

well today i got the very excting news we had been waiting for, we finally got our mortgage offer from Halifax!

ive been checking my experian credit report through the whole process and so far at dip we had unrecorded enquiries so have been waiting to see the hard check showing as first mortgage (was expecting this before our offer) However ive been on today and i had an alert telling me i had had yet another unrecorded enquiry on the 24th of this month this seems strange to me as one, ive checked everyday and nothing showed up on the 24th two the 24th is a Sunday and they don't work a Sunday and three there's no hard check yet?? is this normal?

If you've got mortgage your offer does it matter?

There may well be more before you complete as well.

Maybe they used another credit reference agency..??

We had completed on a house purchase recently and our mortgage was from Halifax. From beginning to end there was no hard searches on all our credit report files Experian, Equifax and noddle. That still baffles us to no end as we are curious to how they credit checked us. All we gave as well was 1 months payslip when we submitted our application.

Is this really common practice?
