Private Dentist / Second opinion

Hello all

Big son (11 and a half) has three of his adult teeth coming through on the top outside his baby teeth which havent fallen out - they're so well developed that he looks like he's going to develop an aversion to sunshine and have the local villagers chase him with flaming torches.

Last time we saw him, our dentist said to leave them as the baby teeth would fall out naturally - this hasnt happened and I cant get another appointment for a month

So, the question is, can anyone recommend a dentist that he can see quickly for a second opinion / possible extraction in the greater belfast area? This is more surgical than cosmetic I guess.

My daughter had the same problem and had her baby teeth pulled by the dentist after a referral to the orthodontist. She was 12 at the timeand went on to have braces fitted.

My son who has just turned 13 has exactly the same problem and was referred to the same orthodontist at my request 3 weeks ago so I expect his to be pulled after that. I also expect him to have braces fitted due to the vampire like appearance lol.

Maybe at his next appt you could ask to be referred as you are concerned at the shape of his teeth.
