Help Needed - Credio/Cashbridge

I have very stupidly got myself into a bit of bother with debt, my husband was very ill for 18 months and I was out of work, I am now working, he isnt so I am responsible for all household bills. I have a DMP with Step change, who have been really helpful and I am now two months into the plan. Today I received a text message from Credio saying they have taken £29.99 for and I quote 'Your payment in Credio is successful'. Now I have never heard of them, they say I have a Loan ID, but I have no loans with them at all or their company Cashbridge, I have all my debts with Step Change. Please can you help me, or give advice on what to do, £29.99 is a lot of money to me. I have looked on their website, cannot find anything about a fee or anything like that, and there is no phone number only an email link, I have emailed them but Im going out of my mind with worry that this is not the only payment they are going to take.

That sounds like a loan broker and the fee of £29.99 is pretty typical. Did you apply online for a short term loan at some point? If not, how did they get your bank details?
If you are convinced you didnt do this, then get onto the bank and report it as fraud. Get it reversed and dont take any flannel about they cant. It isnt unknown for innocent people to have their account details misused by PDL agreements that were fraudulently set up.
Just looked them up at companies house :
Name & Registered Office:
CASHBRIDGE CORPORATION LTD
ROSDEN HOUSE 372 OLD STREET
SUITE 167
LONDON
EC1V 9LT
Company No. 06979753
Note that the company number is different from the one that they list which actually applies to one Mosaic Capital Partners Ltd.
I still cannot find a valid phone number for them, but I would report this as fraud to your bank.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it
