Why didn't anyone tell me that a 500g tub of Flora is 69p in Farmfoods?

We would normally buy any brand if it was less than £2 per kilo, but I'm sold with this!

    Savers

    Nicky Toilet Rolls 18 - £3.95

    Poundland

Natural Elements Mint Shower Creme 400ml - £1
Natural Elements Mint Hand Wash 500ml - £1 (I love the mint scented stuff. It's cheap but feels a bit more luxury than other cheap ranges. Although it isn't the intense mint hit of natural source, it's good for the price)
    Right Guard Cool Deodorant 150ml - £1
    Cashew Nuts 130g - £1
    Kitchen Roll 4 - £1
Kleenex Pocket Pack Tissues - £1

Just realised listing the prices was a bit pointless...! I also like stocking up the medicine cabinet when they have Beechams/Lemsip capsules.

    Asda

    Extra Mature Cheddar 325g - £2
    Pastrami - 2 for £3
Bread - Love all brown/granary bread so whatever is £1 that week
    Mixed Weight Eggs 15 - £2
    Baguette Pizzas - £1

    Sainsburys

Basics Pittas - 25p (Don't use these every day, but they're great to keep in freezer if you run out of bread. My shopping is sporadic so that tends to be reasonable often!)

Get 5L thick bleach and disinfectants from agricultural stores or there are companies that specialise in cheap cleaning products.

Far cheaper to buy as 5L than 1L as in home bargains/b&m etc.

I don't have a farmfoods near me, but I do have a Tesco, Waitrose, Lidl and a Co-op.

I tend to shop at street markets, pound shops for most other household things and occasionally pick and choose between the other supermakets for their offers, I can't say I pick any one store as my main store because I shop for particular products and rarely vary from what I buy, unless it's by brand.

I have MySupermarket bookmarked and will hunt high and low to find the cheapest price and then once I find a decent offer, will bulk-buy that particular product. It goes without saying that I am very disloyal to all supermarkets, just loyal to my bank balance!

Pound shop is great, everything a quid
  • Don't forget Amazon either. A lot of the grocery items they sell are cheaper in the Supermarkets and budget shops (B & M, Home Bargains etc) but there are occasional bargains to be had. Just this week I got 12 tins of Epicure organic green lentils (puy) for £10.50 (free delivery). I know the same number would have only cost me £12 in Tesco but, hey, I saved £1.50 and they were delivered to my door for free. "Every little helps"!!
