Comping Moshpit

I'm just wittering so forgive me in advance please 
I've not been comping as much as usual (for me) over the past couple of months but now find myself with more time to catch up. I've just responded to a thread that I can see might become a little inflammatory (although in truth the OP was being honest about their feelings) and it got me thinking that it's a bit like a comping moshpit.
You elbow your way in full of gusto but after about 5 minutes you realise that....
1. You should have worn different shoes.
2. You are so going to feel the bruises later.
3. Maybe you'd have more fun if you had of stayed on the outside watching!
Hah! Who'd have known comping would become an extreme sport?
