Finding petite clothing that isn't too long

I have terrible problems trying to find clothes that fit me. I'm 4 ft 10 female and age 30. I find that a lot of the petite clothes are often too long. I don't have a lot of money to spend clothes wise which makes it harder. I used to buy childrens clothes but since putting on some weight, for my height they are now too small.
I've tried places like marks and spencer (which is good because some of there stuff comes in extra short), dorothy perkins, next, top shop, and some catologue shops. Is there anywhere else I could try?

I'm a similar height and agree that finding smaller clothes can be difficult. BHS aren't too bad, they have a petite range. If I'm ordering trousers Littlewoods online have a range of trousers that begin at leg length 25".
For shoes http://www.shoe-shop.com/ have some styles starting at size 2.
Hope you find something0 -
Hi
I've recently bought some 27inch jeans from Cotton Traders for £10.
Also Debenhams do some 27inch trousers.
I know its not easy as alot now class 29inch as petite0 -
Buy some Wonderweb (I think that's what it's called) and take seams up yourself. You just iron it on, and it's really simple. Or do it the old fashioned way, and sew them.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

I'm always on the lookout for cropped jeans (I'm also 4'10'' so they're full length on me!) - I usually find New Look pretty good in that respect and I've got quite a healthy stock of jeans now - I've also recently bought a pair in Primark and also some from Matalan.
With regards to trousers for work (when I'm in Court I have to dress smartly otherwise I wear jeans in the office) I usually buy trousers in Primark which are mostly around the £6-£8 mark and then I don't mind butchering them with wonderweb. In other words, I don't mind if I balls the shortening process up when I've paid so little for them in the first place. Usually works for me.
But I will say that shopping for clothes when you're a short@rse is a real chore!
JxxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -
I'm 5'1" and have found the childrens range at New Look (age 16) perfect, also, the childrens section at H&M, also age 16 fits quite well.0

New Look jeans are excellent, and Asda do quite a decent petite range too.0

For ages I wore age 12 clothes, sometimes 13. They were the right length and also fitted me round, but then I gained weight, so now need adult clothes. Course even in my days of age 12 I found it terrible trying to find things which didn't have sparkles on them or silly flowers etc lol.
One of my big issues is that I can only wear very loose fitting trousers, or skirts. I don't want to go into the details, but anything with not enough give in it causes pain. This makes the task of finding clothes even more difficult. Prior to the problems I wouldn't ever wear a skirt, don't even think I owned one. Now I always tend to have to wear skirts or jogging bottoms.0
