Deed Indemnity Insurance?

Hello,

Does anyone know much about Indemnity insurance? I have bought a house for £66k and whilst speaking to my solicitor she informs me that all the searches are done, mortgage offer is on the table and that she is just waiting for some answers to her enquiries on the sellers contract. She then said one of the enquiries was something to do with one of the deeds missing and that I will need indemnity insurance, so she's asking the sellers solicitor to pay it. Is this expensive? What happens if they don't want to pay it? Sorry i have never heard of it. I did a little research but I kept pulling up professional indemnity insurance.

Many thanks

Stu

It's normally used for title defects.

The solicitors should give you a quote from the insurance company they use.

Aviva is a firm who I know solicitors I have worked for in the past use.
