Hi
I was speaking to payplan about starting my DMP, and they asked me whether i'd made a token payment towards my loan - I advised I had not as they would not accept it, she asked me to try again - so I did 30 mins later I was again refused. Surely this means they're dense?

Be careful with HSBC they will try and make you take a managed loan (matching your payplan payment) that will include interest on that and the interest on the original loan + unnecessary ppi if you had it. They did it to me and CCCS advised to steet clear so I have, they won't default the loan until 4/5 payments are missed so will still go for dd each time and then you're charged bank charges when it is returned ... grrr!! I did send them a token payment though - although I think it ended up in my current account but I had the paperwork to prove I'd sent it.I stopped smoking 25th June 2007STILL Never complacent but confidentMy debt is GOING DOWN!!!!0

Hi Pippa,
If you send them the £1 they have to take it, whether they say they accept it or not. When they say they're not accepting the offer they just mean they don't like it, but tough. Maybe send a Postal Order so you have the slip to prove it.
It's usually a bit bumpy while DMPs are being set up, but hopefully things will settle down for you once it's up and running.

Hi
You say you work for cccs I also work in the insolvency industry,You say cccs are a charity, may i ask who you get your funds from,is it not from the finance industry(ie a foot in both camps)also why do you insist that clients have to have a certain amount of debt and income to help them?
Kind Regards

Hi Danno,
For information on how we are funded you can follow this link: http://www.cccs.co.uk/about/funding.aspx
Also there is no minimum to the amount of debt or income needed before we can help someone out. However, the ways we can help are dependant on the individual situation. We are here to be impartial and make sure we give the best advice.
Regards
