I won, or have I?

Following my last post I was asked to keep people updated.
I received a letter on 14 July saying I had won a Sat Nav, but the letter was dated 2 July and stated that I had to confirm that I wanted the prize by 9th July or the prize would be forfeited.
I contacted them and explained about the floods in Yorkshire and the postal strike and could I still have my prize.
NO was the reply it had already been given to someone else. I was told that the weather had nothing to do with them.
Extremely disappointed, particularly as I had entered the comp and they had all of my details, so why would I not want the prize? Anyway  I am still eagerly awaiting my first win.

Aww no, that's such a shame, you poor thing! How horrible of them!! I don't get why they give you such a short deadline, especially when sending by post and not even registered post! I hope that you win something super brilliant soon to make up for it! What a shame

AOL seem like real stinkers for comps, I remember someone not long ago won a holiday with them but lost out cos they took more than 24 hours or something silly to reply!0
