    Yes, I think you're right and as there's the tax benefit to take into account as well it works out about 10% altogether.

    This is more than I would have expected given the fact that my portfolio as a whole (which is about 70% equities) has only risen 7.6% over the last 12 months (admittedly the last 5 months since March have been a little flat).

    Anyway, I think I've decided to hold off the transfer at least until my next statement in March to see how things are going then and then try and make a judgement call about whether there was anything I could buy in my SIPP that could match the pension profits.
