The answer is wrong. It's E.
Hook sizes used to be measured with a letter. Your number 9 is the old style measure for a knitting needle not a crochet hook.

Hook sizes in the US are often letters but the old UK measures are numbers. I'm happy with my answer, think we'll have to agree to differ.
