  • yes, I can as I've had two invites with it in in the last couple of weeks. It's at home at present but I will post it on here when I get home.
  • Found it on Google, there are several here, just pick the one that suits you best .....

I think this is the one you were talking about:

If a gift you'd like to bring
Then cash or cheque would be the thing.
We have a house and its contents
So in our case it makes more sense

    I think that's the one I'll be using ;)

    Good luck with your wedding!

Or another one I found that I really like if she wants donations towards her honeymoon is:

    We know it's not traditional,
It's not the way it's done,
But instead of a wedding list,
We'd like a bit of sun.
Please do not think of us as rude,
    Please do not take offence,
We do not want to upset you,
That's not the way it's meant.
We've lived together quite a while,
    All our bills are paid,
We've got our plates our pots and pans,
And all our plans are made.
So if you'd like to give a gift,
    To help us celebrate,
    Some money for a honeymoon,
    We would appreciate.

Please do not feel obliged to buy us a gift, it is your presence and not your present that is important to us.

think I might add something about a mother being stressed and if they would
rather have a whip round for me thats fine.
again thanks for all your help

I know that my mum was quite traditional when it came to gift lists and not giving money but when a cousin sent out a wishing well card it actually made her smile and forget about buying the tea towels!!!
