Would you work for less than minimum wage?

    I certainly have done for summer work, I worked one place that was £5 an hour cash in hand but would let me work 80 hours a week and provided piles of free food and beer. I couldn't have made as much with the minimum wage legal work that was available elsewhere on far fewer hours a week.

    Thank god that we do have the minimum wage or our Polish friends working over here would be getting about £3.00 per hour, maybe even less. The minimum wage was introduced by the Labour Government in 1997 to avoid exploitation. The lying Tories at the time said it would cost 1000's of jobs when it didn't even cost one.
