Am being passed from pillar to post and put on interminable hold in phonecalls to get any advice/ sense from mortgage advisors who seem ignorant of their own rules as regards holiday buy-to-let. Looking to remortgage for a better rate - any suggestions?
Thanks

There are not many holiday BTL lenders out there. I only know of 3 but one of them charges extortionate rates.
Are you looking at fee free brokers? Im not suggesting there is anything wrong with fee free brokers but they will no doubt have a lot on their plate and only want the nice and easy cases that require very little research.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. From the op's post I get the impression they are calling lenders direct, so no doubt they will just be fobbed off, this is almost certainly a broker case.I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. ah good point. I forgot banks call centre staff are now classed as advisors (I say that as someone who has been a call centre "advisor" for a bank).
I dont know of any high street lenders who would do this to be honest. Definitely one for a broker.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. thanks for suggestions - the calls I made included to our existing provider who took an hour to get us to the right department - only to make an appointment for a call back!
