Recently I made a snap decision when offered an article, brand new, at what the trader claimed was a fraction of the usual retail cost and would be unrepeatable. Bought it, got home and found the exact item for sale online at half what I had paid. Now I have an app on the phone (Redlaser is the one I'm using), it scans bar codes and gives a list of the item price at various outlets. A quick and very useful check!
