Recently I made a snap decision when offered an article, brand new, at what the trader claimed was a fraction of the usual retail cost and would be unrepeatable. Bought it, got home and found the exact item for sale online at half what I had paid. Now I have an app on the phone (Redlaser is the one I'm using), it scans bar codes and gives a list of the item price at various outlets. A quick and very useful check!

  • was this at a "Market" ? we live and learn, we've all been there before.... a bit like those TV sales channels....... not such a great deal when you do a quick search online and find they are cheaper elsewhere....

Yes, a market. At least with the phone app they won't do it again - if I've got signal!
