Absolutely - a broadcasting legend, and a highly intelligent man. For a radio station that unfortunately has too many bland presenters (e.g. Gerry Kelly), he'll be sadly missed.

I was in no way a fan but the man was certainly a broadcasting legend.

I wasn't a huge fan but he certainly had his moments. An intelligent man who was a true professional.

Maybe now we can move on and get rid of the inane rubbish currently broadcast between 10.30 and 12.00 each day.

I'm of the younger generation, however I was a big fan of Gerry Anderson.
I've grown up with my mum and aunts all listening and still going to The showbands and always remember Gerry's TV show Anderson on the box when I was VERY little.

RIP Gerry you are a legend.

Have to agree about the fella who has been on in place of Gerry. Listened to him this morning, and my God, he done more mumbling than talking!!

No, and should we really care? It's his own business.

Bit harsh !!!! and grammatically incorrect I'd argue...... "It was" his own business......

It's Northern Ireland, of course it's important as is the more important question of how much money did he leave?
