Amazon item listing jobs

Has anyone came across jobs to list items on amazon from home? I found one but the pay is £50 a week for listing 300 items a week / 50 a day. How much do these type of jobs normally pay? From my calculation this will take about 3 hours a day on top of my full time job. I wouldn't mind if it was paying a but more. What do you think?

Hi tgirl, how did you find out about that. I've been trying to look into it but can't find much information
  • :hello:Hi tgirl

This is a new one on me so could you please give a bit more info? Where did you spot the job? I seem to be doing a lot of trawling for work-from-home ideas but have never even heard of this one:o

It was via a friend but I want to know if the pay seems realistic...if it's a work from home job does that mean we work for £2 an hour?

I haven't heard of this one but please take care. If this is a legitimate work offer from a reputable seller then you should be fine- as long as you are using their account and their log in details.

However, the moment you are asked to list items in your own name, or to provide any form of card details 'for security' run a mile. There is an ebay scam that could conceivably also work on Amazon, whereby you are told what to list- you get the payments and send them to your supervisor who ships the goods. In that instance the supervisor disappears with the money leaving you with debt collectors chasing you for the money you took on your account on their behalf.

Also, if this is working out at £2 an hour before tax is it really worth it? By the time you have declared this to the tax man and paid any resulting NI and tax you will hardly be left enough for even the cups of tea you will drink whilst doing it.

  • Sounds like a scam to me. Much easier ways of earning money from home! Although I doubt it would take you 3 hours to list 50 Amazon items, more like an hour if that which makes the pay about right for min wage.

I don't need to use my own name - the guy has given me the log in details. All I have to do is list the items for him from a suppliers website. It seems like he is "drop shipping" so when a person buys an item from amazon the supplier sends it directly to the customer. There's nothing too suspicious.

If the pay works out at least min wage then go for it if the work is regular and you trust he will pay you. I wouldn't do it for less though because as others have pointed out will be a lot of hassle with tax/NI to sort out.

Listing 50 items should only take an hour using cut and paste.

Sounds suspect to me. Why would someone do this for so few items ? Why would a stranger give you their login details to amazon? Why doesn't the guy just upload them ? He could have it done in the time it takes to employ and pay you. You can upload thousands of products via bulk upload on amazon (I have done this) no trouble. So for someone to go to the trouble and risk to employ someone to do this sounds fishy!

Sounds like hacked amazon accounts , IP address trail will lead back to you and not the scammer

I'm not sure I understand how it can be a scam but I would like to know more so I can decide whether to proceed. He is a member of a cash and carry that sells discount items to trade suppliers. He is selling on amazon to make a profit. I can only assume that it's a side business and he is too busy to upload the items himself. Maybe I am naive?
