Afternoon all
Just a quick one really, you know the big packs of precooked sliced meat that the likes of Costco etc sell, well would it be ok to portion them up to freeze and use as needed? I was wondering if it altered the taste or texture. I seem to spend a lot buy the smaller packs and if I could by the larger ones and portion them out I'm sure I'd save some money.
Thanks!

Unless it says on the packet do not freeze, it's fine. Sometimes when I defrost a packet of meat the slices are a bit wet, but it still tastes the same.0

I always freeze cooked meat (generally LO ham and beef) wrapped in foil rather than cling film or a freezer bag. I don't know whether that helps it dry out a bit but it's never wet when I unwrap.0 -
Yes its fine. I used to do this. I used to freeze two slices in a sandwich bag, then re use the sandwich bag for the sandwich.0
