I don't mean this in a sarcastic way, but I genuinely cannot imagine - what makes a bike worth £6,000? What can you do on your £6,000 that I won't be able to do on my new £315 bike? I am guessing yours will be very lightweight? But I honestly, genuinely would like to know. My eyes are still watering at the thought of paying more for a bike than I did for my 7 seater car :rotfl:
It is extremely light - 6kg. And you pay a lot for that. The component quality and the frame quality makes the bike a dream to ride. You really have to try it to understand. This summer I've been doing over 200 miles a week on the bike, a weekly distance I was never capable of on my other road bike, which cost <£1000. There are bikes that are much dearer than mine too. I bought the bike as an ex-team bike from a local retailer who sponsors a cycling team. The bike had a season of racing, although I knew the lad whose bike it was, and he hadn't used it much - it was him that gave me the nod that it was for sale. I bought it for £2600. For me it's worth every penny.
