Hi
Sorry if this is the wrong section for this thread...
I need a tv license as I have just moved into a new flat, I went on their site they say a license is £135.50 per year..
I assumed I would have to pay for the rest of the year so from July to Dec
Instead they want to charge from Jan to Dec although I havent used it from Jan...
Is this true?
please clarify
Thanks in advance..

Your licence will run from July to June, for 12 months.0

You'll still have to pay for the whole of July even though you're applying midway - another con.The man without a signature.0

thanks for the info, but then why cant i pay from July 07 - June 08 instead of having to pay from July 07 - Dec 07 which will take me up until june 08???
any ideas....0 -
I can't work it out at the minute (brain hurts from other work I'm doing) but the way they work it is that they want you to have paid 6 months of your licence fee before it's issued - 6 months before and 6 months after.
I'd give you an example if I wasn't so mentally drained!0 -
The only reason I can think of is that you have opted to pay monthly.
By doing it this way you pay for your licence (which lasts 12 months) in 6 months and then for the next 6 months you pay the first half of your next licence.2014 Target;
