Just had a quick read of your diary, well done on kicking that PDL into touch. I like the trick of changing your password to something so convoluted. But shame on them for hiding the process of closing your account.
Did the council accept your proposal re the rent?
Sounds like if you were able to knock the PDL off in one month, you can make very significant dents in the rest of it very quickly. It's easy to fall into the trap of high wages equalling no need to budget, it's that very trap I'm climbing out of just now.

Haven't used this thread for a while, but new year new start and all that! Some positives (absolutely no more PDLs) and some not so positives (increase in CC debt and overdraft now) but I feel more in control. Rent arrears is almost gone so that's good too. Now have a wedding to save and plan for at the end of 2015 too :-)
