Question about consent to lease

I've been in a house for 2 months now and my situation has changed. I don't want to sell my home as I may move back one day but I'd like to get consent to lease.
My mortgage is with halifax and It's usually 6 months before they will consent. Is there anyway it could be done sooner?
Thanks

To answer your question; it really depends on what they say - they might agree if you can demonstrate a reasonable cause for having to rent the property out?

You may find lenders somewhat unsympathetic after such a short tenure.0
