free parker pen

Hi!
If you call Norwich Union Life insurance on 0800 0155 337, make sure you say "I saw that advert for a free parker pen if I ask for a non obligation quote with you"....then they would ask a few questions etc, then give you a quote, and a parker pen will be in the post.
Mind you, Parker Pens are much better than those cheap rubbish pens. I guess this pen saved me paying about £6 in the shops!! :-)
Maybe someone else here will be able to explain in more detail about that advert....I think there was a ref number but Im not too sure.
Mind you, expect to stay about 10 to 15 mins on the phone!!!

Thanks naf123, these are great pens. My pens always seem to get lost in a black hole somewhere! (Namely my son's room! :rotfl: )

I can remember doing this when I was 16ish, I was an early moneysaver:rotfl:On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom):"Do not turn upside down."(well...duh, a bit late, now! )0

When i rang up spoke to this guy he said you had to take policy out dont get the pen unless you do. He said you dont just get the pen for a quote.0

I called earlier on this evening and the man asked for a reference number so i apologised and said i'd thrown the paper in the recycling bin and he offered to wait while i went and had a rummage for it, had to make my excuses (raining) and said i'd call back later.0

Which opition do we choose when we get through only it cost me on my mobile ;-*0

Won't this make insurance go up in the long run, someone has to pay for it?
Plus if you lie, its fraud?
No it wont, and if it did then get your insurance elsewhere, I have heard horror stories of NU not paying out plus they aren't the cheapest. And no it's not fraud, you are taking advantage of their offer of a free pen for letting them give you a quote.
I don't think this is the forum (or website) for you if you have that attitude!
Perhaps we should allow the banks to keep all our illegal £30 charges for going overdrawn, if we claim back what we were illegally deprived of, they may end up charging a small fee for banking with them? :rolleyes:0 -
Really sorry for not supplying the ref number as i threw away the advert by mistake...
HOWEVER.....i found in the "Love it!" mag, a new advert
AXA Sun Life's guaranteed over 50 plan
and it says
Call FREE for full details on 0800 169 20 44 and quote ref 11045V11 and a free parker pen for every caller!!!
I guess I saved my name again!
