Taking sick leave during notice period

I work in local government and its a two month notice period.
Served my notice 29 July.
If I go off sick, am I entitled to;
Paid sick leave
a reference for next job
No judgements please just factual answers

You're entitled as your contract states and very few professions are entitled to a reference.Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0

As TA suggests above, nobody here can give you a definitive answer as it will depend on your contract terms.
A hard and fast contractual entitlement to company sick pay (providing of course you comply fully with the terms) is becoming rare but might apply. If that is the case and you supply a "fit note" from a doctor if you are off for more than a week then they will have to pay you.
More common is for company sick pay to be "discretionary". If so, then you may end up with nothing apart from SSP. Or they may pay you in full, it depends on their attitude and policy. Nobody here can answer that.
Reference? Apart from a handful of professions there is no legal obligation to provide one at all. If they do then it must be truthful and not deliberately misleading. The myth that you "cannot give a bad reference" is just that - a complete myth!
So, if your boss thinks you are taking the proverbial then you could end up with no pay and no reference. Or, they might not give two hoots and you have no problem in either respect. Your gamble!0 -

In many cases you are entitled to FULL pay during notice even when sick.
What is the employers contractual and statutory notice periods.0 -

Not at all.
I had migraine and was just getting paranoid about losing money but !!!! it, sick is sick and I needed to stay away from work so did, not really bothered what occurs now.0 -
