Aphthous Ulcer in terminal ileum

Options
Just had a Colonoscopy and they found a few small Aphthous ulcers within my terminal Ileum. They have sent off for a biopsy. Is this possibly the start of Crohns disease or could it be something else. Has anyone else had the same diagnosis/problem. Any advise please or I guess I will have to wait for the result of the biopsies. I am somewhat concerned!!

I can understand that. This isn't really the place to be asking things like this though.
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.
  • I suggest you wait until the result of the biopsies are back. These usually take 2 to 3 weeks . Your hospital consultant should have arranged an appointment for you to discuss the results, as it would appear that the Aphthous Ulcers were discovered in your colonoscopy . At this stage You may be jumping to the wrong conclusions about Crohns disease. As difficult as it is you need to be patient. Good luck
  • Does it mean if an Aphthous ulcer is discoverd in your Ileum that you will have Crohns disease. Surely there are other reasons for these ulcers.
  • You're asking for medical advice which is against forum rules.

I hope that your results come back soon and that they are good, and put your mind at rest.
