Mortgage extra money??

We are due to complete in around 3-4weeks (fingers crossed!) and I have been re-reading our mortgage offer. In it is a random extra stating that if we want to we can have £750 in cash right now from them! And it will add £3/PCM to the mortgage payment. So instead of £513/PCM it will be £516/PCM. Is this a wise idea to do so close to completion? Funds are admittedly tight and that would make a good dent in my CC balance as well as purchasing a couple of much needed items. By all means we would not urgently need it as we could manage without. Just wondered whether it's a good idea in others eyes or if it will scupper me further down the line for remortgaging or even before completion?!?! We went through a broker and he didn't mention this so I'm assuming he doesn't think it's a great idea??

Good idea? Maybe not good as such but I'd take it and clear the credit card debt. It will cost you more in the long run though as you'll be paying for it for the length of the mortgage instead of over just a few months but if you then commit yourself to clearing the credit card debt in full then overpaying the mortgage it could cost you less if you refuse ever to pay interest on a credit card ever again. Always pay the credit card in full to avoid interest.
