Roof box for Astra

Morning all.

Anyone know the best place to get a roof box for a Vauxhall Astra. Will also need roof racks.

Is Halfords the best??

Halfords is the best if you want to see roofboxes and roof bars in the flesh. If you know what you are looking for try the following websites.

I can recommend Thule roof bars and Mont Blanc MB552.
If you find what you are looking for check the prices on ebay as some internet retailers sell on there too.

Hi, we looked at halfords and they are VERY expensive. I am buying one from ebay - there are alot of companies on there with very good feedback selling idfferent makes/sizes of roof boxes. Im looking at the boxes then searching the web for the makers site to get more details on them.

There is also one company ive noticed that sells bars/boxes as a package - i dont need the bars but they offer a bargin package.

If you go to ebay and type Roof box and bars in the search bar you will find alot come up, then if you look at buy now auctions these are usually shops etc. Im looking to save approx £65 on a 400l box whcihc comes iwht manufactures guaratee for 2yrs.

From the Thule site you can get a list of sellers for your post code, I phoned my nearest none halfords and he's much cheaper.

We got roof rack system for Astra MK 4 for £70 something, this was a thule system and they do mail order.

I can heartily recommend www.roofbox.co.uk

They were really helpful and they do lots of nice packages for roof bars and boxes combined from cheap and cheerful up to to of the range stuff. I've got Thule roof bars and a Kamei roof box, all of which is doing me proud and shows no signs of wear and tear.

I'll second that !!! Bought a roof box and a set of Thule bars for my Mondeo and not only were they the cheapest I could find but their advice and customer service was spot on. Delivery was fantastic too !!! I'll certainly go back there next time I need anything like that.
